Hello there every one! I trust that you all had sun-filled jolly weekend? Well I did until a little mishap on Saturday night on my way back home to Chelmsford from London. So I took Saturday night off to catch up with a friend over dinner in London. We hadn’t seen each other for a good 3 weeks and since then a lot had happened in her personal life namely “the break up with the boyfriend” (something I always saw coming because of previous events: she was nevertheless in a bad relationship) She felt all alone and low and therefore needed someone to give her an ear so I was there to do just that as she also needed to bring me up to speed as to what happened.
Well, after a great deal of conversations and advice from me to stay clear from this guy because she deserved better… we ordered our meal from this lovely restaurant. I had their signature dish Rib eye steak which was delicious!. I never pass up an opportunity to eat steak.
After desert and a few other conversation topics, we said our good byes and I went on the train to head on home. Aparently there was a problem with the train tracks so the train took forever to leave London and I thought what the heck I will have a little snooze and hopefully keep waking up till I am in Essex Chelmsford. I usually do this and by the time I open my eyes the train has just got to Chelmsford.
But this time, I am not sure what happened my little snooze turned into a full blown deep sleep and when I opened my eyes we were leaving kelvedon heading to our next stop Witham I thought oh oooooh I missed my stop! But I only had two glasses of Bellinis not sure how that put me to sleep lol.
I got off at Witham at about quarter to 2am and had to take a taxi back to Chelmsford. I was not amused at all especially when I had to wait for a taxi for nearly 45 mins there wasn’t any at the station and thanks to my iPhone I was able to Google a few taxis for Witham, but to my dismay I couldn’t get any of the taxi companies to answer their phones even if my life depended on it. Well I suppose with Chelmsford being a bigger town there are always taxis waiting around ha!
So finally a taxi arrived out of no where. I had a nice taxi driver and during our conversations about how I ended up in his cab he told me about how I could have ended up in Ipswich or Norwich in which case would have probably cost me an arm and a leg to get back home. Yes it could have been worse! Anyhow I got home in about 25 mins latter whew! what a night that was! never again not to bellinis but to keep one eye open when on the train. lol
Have a good week every one!!
