A Great Weekend: Hello all, I hope you had a great weekend?. Well I did very much so. I met up with a great friend who has just moved from Europe to London and whom I met a while back in North America. She is indeed a great friend one of the very very few people I actually gel with if you know what I mean. She is the kind you can tell anything to and not be judged but rather have a really good laugh about it. So you can imagine there were all kinds of confessions involved from my end mostly about what I do for work (which I hinted to her a while back) and she was actually curious about what being an escort was like. Well let’s just say she did get an earful lol.
So we met at Kensington sat in the park and we talked for a long while catching up and almost lost track of time and the fact that we had to eat.
My good friend and I finally left the park and went to this great North American restaurant in central London where they do the best largest cocktails I am talking humongous! We had three each of their large Mojito cocktails, a New York strip steak and some bruschetta for starters. I am drooling just thinking about it lol. Indeed we had a great feast and a great time chatting and being a little loud with laughter just reminiscing over the past. Yes together we can be a tad loud lol.
Nevertheless, it was a great time spent together catching up which was a great way to spend a lovely Saturday. After again loosing track of time in restaurant, we went to a sports bar for some ciders talk about cruising for a hangover on Sunday morning lol. Since I did not plan to stay in London, I had to be Cinderella and get on the last train back to Chelmsford after a few hours in the sports bar. This time I made sure I did not miss my stop lol.
Colour me fascinated: But I had no idea Saudi women could not vote nor drive in this 21st Century. I was just as amazed while watching pierce Morgan on CNN a few days ago (because I Heart him lol) during his interview with Ameerah Al-Taweel who discussed her passionate involvement with the Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation campaign in reforming a lot of the Saudi laws which does not regard Saudi women in the many aspects of today’s world’s basic human rights if you will or perhaps basic human privileges such as driving, voting or even participating in campaigns for public office. hmm call me a feminist but they seem to be a lot behind in this day and age. Well as of Monday morning Saudi women can vote now but still can’t drive. Partial success but they still have a long way to go. Good luck to the princess and her movement. This is me getting fascinated over feminist issues.
And finally could this be why America is Broke?:
I am sure by now even if you are hiding under a rock you have been made aware by the media’s constant noise about America’s messy financial situation. Well it turns out they’ve created a stash of more than $1 billion in one dollar coins that almost no one wants. I know its only a fraction of what they need to restore the economy but why the waste?
Well, basically these coins were manufactured to replace the one dollar bill not sure what they are trying to achieve here but they keep making more and more of the coins under a congressional mandate which costs about $300 million to manufacture, and this 1 billion mark could double by the time the program ends in 2016. These coins are being produced but the government has failed in an effort to get Americans to use the one-dollar coins in everyday commerce. I remember not too long ago a target date for the expiration of the the old £20 note and we were ordered by the bank of England to cease using the old £20 note. I am guessing they have not adopted this approach to encourage people to use the new $1 coin? hmm you be the judge. May be when I become their next president I will help address these issues lol.
Hope you all have a good read at my expense
See you soon gents Foxxxy xxx
